UNR Spring 2024 Calendar.

1. Enrollment for the spring semester and Wintermester begins on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
2. The application deadline for first-year, transfer, and second bachelor’s applicants is Friday, December 15, 2023, according to UNR academic calendar 2023-2024.
3. New Year’s Day is observed on Monday, January 1, 2024, with the campus closed.
4. Wintermester classes commence on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
5. Wintermester fees are due, and it is the final day to pay without incurring late payment fees on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
6. The final day to receive a 100% refund for Wintermester is on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
7. Wednesday, January 3, 2024, marks the final day to enroll in Wintermester classes.
8. Thursday, January 4, 2024, is the final day to drop Wintermester classes and receive a 50% refund, according to UNR academic calendar 2023-2024.
9. Thursday, January 11, 2024, is the final day to withdraw from Wintermester classes and receive a “W”.
10. It is also the final day to change Wintermester class from credit to audit on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
11. The final day to apply for a change of residency for the spring semester is Friday, January 12, 2024.
12. The application deadline for non-degree applicants is also Friday, January 12, 2024.
13. Martin Luther King Day is observed on Monday, January 15, 2024, with the campus closed and no classes.
14. The spring semester faculty reporting date is Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
15. New graduate student orientation and reception are scheduled for Thursday, January 18, 2024.
16. Wintermester classes end on Friday, January 19, 2024, according to UNR academic calendar 2023-2024.
17. Spring 2024 semester fees are due, and it is the final day to pay all fees without incurring late payment fees on Friday, January 19, 2024.
18. The first payment is due for those students on a payment plan on Friday, January 19, 2024.
19. Friday, January 19, 2024, is the final day for initial registration, application deadline for returning student applicants, and the application deadline for Graduate Special students.
20. UNR Spring 2024 New student orientation (Online) is set for Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
21. New student orientation (In-person) is scheduled for Friday, January 19, 2024.
22. Late fees are assessed on Saturday, January 20, 2024.
23. Final grades for Wintermester classes are due by 5 p.m. in MyNEVADA on Monday, January 22, 2024.
24. The first day of classes for the spring 2024 semester is Monday, January 22, 2024.
25. Friday, January 26, 2024, is the final day to add or swap classes without permission from the instructor, according to UNR academic calendar 2023-2024.
26. The final day to receive a 100% refund if dropping individual classes is on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
27. Wednesday, January 31, 2024, also marks the final day to change from a letter grade to S/U or S/U to a letter grade or audit, and the final day to add or swap classes with permission from the instructor.
28. No refunds are issued after this date unless completely withdrawing from the University, and the 50% refund for complete withdrawal begins on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
29. President’s Day is observed on Monday, February 19, 2024, with the campus closed and no classes.
30. The second fee payment is due for those on a payment plan on Monday, February 19, 2024.
31. The deadline to apply for May graduation is on Friday, March 1, 2024.
32. Friday, March 1, 2024, is also the final day to receive a 50% refund if completely withdrawing from the University.
33. Summer Session registration starts on Monday, March 18, 2024, according to UNR academic calendar 2023-2024.
34. The final fee payment is due for those on a payment plan on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
35. UNR Spring Break 2024 is scheduled from Saturday, March 23, 2024, to Sunday, March 31, 2024, with the campus open but no classes. Classes resume on Monday, April 1, 2024, after the University of Nevada, Reno Spring Break period.
36. Fall 2024 semester enrollment begins on Monday, April 1, 2024, according to the UNR academic calendar 2024-2025.
37. The final day to drop classes and receive a “W” is on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
38. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, is also the final day to change from credit to audit, and no dropping of individual classes is allowed after this deadline.
39. UNR Spring 2024 Prep Day is on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
40. Spring 2024 Finals week begins on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
41. The final day for submitting the thesis/dissertation and notice of completion with the Graduate School for May graduation is to be announced.
42. Instruction ends on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
43. The on-campus residence hall move-out (11 a.m.) is on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
44. UNR Graduation 2024 and Commencement activities are scheduled from Thursday, May 16, 2024, to Saturday, May 18, 2024.
45. Faculty should post final grades in MyNEVADA by 5 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024.
46. The spring semester ends, and it is the last day faculty are on campus for the spring semester on Monday, May 20, 2024.
