Fordham Academic Calendar 2025.

The Fordham academic calendar has important dates and deadlines including holidays, commencement dates, move-in/move-out dates, add/drop dates and exam schedules.

Fordham University operates on a semester system except the Graduate School of Business Administration which operates on a trimester schedule.

The semester system divides the academic year into two equal parts of 14-16 weeks each. The fall semester begins in late August or early September, and the spring semester begins in January. 

The bachelor’s degree programs at Fordham College at Lincoln Center Hill are four-year, eight-semester programs. Degrees are awarded on the successful completion of a minimum of 36 courses of three or more credits each, and 124 credits, with a minimum cumulative index of 2.000, and completion of a major. 

It is expected that students will be in residence during the final semester in which they complete their degree. Students ordinarily take 20 courses (usually three credits) in their first and second years and 16 courses (usually four credits) in their third and fourth years. 

Here are the important dates and deadlines on the Fordham academic calendar for spring 2025.

1. The University is closed on January 1, 2025, for Christmas Recess.
2. On January 8, 2025, FCRH, FCLC, and GSB-UG participate in Move-In Day for on-campus housing Global Transition participants.
3. FCLC, FCRH, and GSB-UG will host the Global Transition Program for New Undergraduate International Students on January 9, 2025.
4. New Traditional Undergraduate Students have orientation on January 10, 2025.
5. Fordham Spring 2025 Classes start for FCRH, FCLC, GSB-UG, and PCS on January 13, 2025.
6. The University is closed on January 20, 2025, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
7. Add/Drop ends, and January 21, 2025, is the last day for program changes for FCRH, FCLC, GSB-UG, and PCS.
8. Attendance Reporting’s Round 1 Reports are due on January 30, 2025, according to Fordham academic calendar 2024-2025.
9. January 31, 2025, is the deadline for the removal of INC, ABS, and NGR grades incurred during Fall 2024 for FCRH, FCLC, GSB-UG, and PCS.
10. The University is closed for President’s Day on February 17, 2025.
11. FCRH, FCLC, GSB-UG, and PCS classes will follow a Monday schedule on February 18, 2025.
12. March 5, 2025, is the last day to apply for May 2025 graduation via my.fordham.edu for FCRH, FCLC, GSB-UG, and PCS.
13. Mid-semester evaluations are due on March 11, 2025, for FCRH, FCLC, and GSB-UG.
14. Fordham Spring Break 2025 starts on March 17, 2025, and ends on March 23, 2025. Classes resume on March 24, 2025.
15. The University is closed on April 17, 2025, for Easter Recess.
16. April 18, 2025, marks the last day for designating a course Pass/Fail and the last day to withdraw from a course without incurring a WF for FCRH, FCLC, GSB-UG, or PCS.
17. Classes resume on April 22, 2025.
18. May 1-2, 2025, are Reading Days, with the first Reading Day potentially used as a class make-up day due to campus-wide cancellations.
19. Final Examinations occur from May 5 to May 12, 2025, for FCRH, FCLC, and GSB-UG.
20. Baccalaureate Mass is scheduled for May 16, 2025, at Lincoln Center and Rose Hill.
21. The FCLC Awards Ceremony also takes place on May 16, 2025.
22. University Commencement is on May 17, 2025.
